RIP Eric Carle, 91, author of the children’s classic The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which has sold approximately 40 million copies, been translated into 60 languages, spawned stuffed animal likenesses, and been adapted to the stage. He wrote and-or illustrated more than 75 books. Well done, sir. Thank you.

So Biden had to reopen the investigation into the origin of the Corona virus that he had closed down. Again it seems Trump was way ahead of everyone on an issue, although it would not be surprising if China is taken off the hook by bureaucrats willing to kowtow as so many celebs have done.

Not much action at today’s session of the floating book shop. My thanks to the gentleman who bought a book in Russian, and to Wolf, who purchased two more DVDs in that language.
