This sounds interesting. Brief synopsis of an article at nypost.com by Raquel Laneri: Nowhere Girl, a work of non-fiction by Cheryl Diamond, 34, details her life as the child of fugitive parents, 20 years, five continents. She never went to school, was taught by her dad, who had laws: “Always be loyal to our family — for we will never betray each other. Trust no one — they are outsiders. And be a criminal — but be a noble one.”

Here’s an amusing headline from newsmax.com: “Masks Required in Philly’s Naked Bike Ride.”

Last night Heroes & Icons, channel 9–4 on ota in NYC, ran Fly Away Home, Season Three, Episode Eight of Combat!, first broadcast in 1964. It is notable because the guest star is Neville Brand, an actual WWII hero. He received a Silver Star, the second highest honor; Purple Heart; Army Good Conduct Medal; American Defense Service Medal; Bronze Star; European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal; and a Combat Infantry Badge. According to his Wiki profile, he “was an insatiable reader who amassed a collection of 30,000 books over the years, many of which were destroyed in a 1978 fire at his Malibu home.” Father of three, he passed away at 71 in 1992.

Here’s a headline nobody but those who favor lockdowns wanted to see, from foxnews.com: “WHO recommends masks — even for vaccinated people — because of Delta variant.” Let’s hope the CDC is as wrong about this as it has been about everything else.

There’s been a lot of noise by Biden and company about ending filibusters. Here’s a 3/26/’21 headline from washingtonexaminer.com: “Democrats used filibuster 327 times, compared to only once by GOP in 2020.” Don’t be surprised if they sing a different tune if the 2022 midterms go against them.

DVDs keep fueling the floating book shop. My thanks to the gentleman in the macabre Edgar Allan Poe “Nevermore” T-Shirt who, appropriately it seemed, bought the first four seasons of The Walking Dead and a hardcover in Russian; and to the elderly woman who purchased Against All Odds by Danielle Steel; and to the man who selected Stressed, Unstressed: Classic Poems to Ease the Mind by Jonathan Bate and Paula Byrne; and to the one who donated season five of Friends; and to Herbie, who knocked at my door and delivered a bunch of attractive pictorials, including this gem, which includes a DVD:
