With so many teachers leery about the re-opening of schools, what’s that say about the effectiveness of masks? Many who tout them, Fauci, Cuomo, even President Trump, seem to be paying only lip service. All these months later, it seems measures are still guesswork. Cowering in the face of a death rate of one-quarter of one-percent seems illogical. I will continue to sell books curbside and hope I will not be one of the unlucky few.

From an article at foxnews.com, edited by yours truly: “… D.C. police officers arrested two anti-abortion activists who were writing ‘Black Preborn Lives Matter’ outside of a Planned Parenthood location.” Apparently, they don’t matter, which should surprise no one.

This morning, talk radio host Mark Simone, a personal friend of the President, likened the Biden campaign to Weekend at Bernie’s (1989). And while Biden, the secondmost corrupt politician in history, cowers in his basement, Trump went into the lion’s den for an interview with hostile press, this time Axios, for the second time in less than a month. Middle Class Joe is being advised not to debate, which is probably wise, as it is unlikely he has the stamina and acuity to go face to face with anyone for more than 20 minutes, let alone a tiger like Trump. If he wins there will be a shadow presidency. It’s amusing how difficult it has been to find a running mate for him. The Dems have no one without ties to radicalism. They are trying to trick the undecided into believing Biden offers a moderate path when in reality they have completely abandoned the incremental march to Socialism in favor of an accelerated drive. And they have mail-in ballots to help get there.

RIP native New Yorker Reni Santoni, 81, whose acting career spanned 1962–2012. There are 103 titles listed under his name at IMDb. He was comfortable on the big or small screen. He will probably be remembered most for the four episodes he did on Seinfeld as Poppie, the restaurateur with a bladder problem. I smile each time I recall how he pronounced “commoonista” as he relayed his mom’s plight to Jerry and Elaine. He also appeared in notable films such as The Pawnbroker (1964), Enter Laughing (1967), Dirty Harry (1971) and Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid (1982). He began as a comedy writer and specialized in oddball roles off-Broadway, for which he wrote Raisin’ Hell in the Son, which premiered in 1962. In The Mad Show, from the folks behind Mad magazine, he joined future stars David Steinberg, Jo Anne Worley and Linda Lavin on stage. Well done, sir. Thank you.
