Coming soon to America? From NYP: “Swiss city considers legalizing cocaine for recreational use in pilot program.” Hunter approves. I have gone back and forth on this myself.

Not much action at today’s session of the floating book shop. Because of the stiff wind I spent half the time in the car as a precaution, although the sun was shining. A lot of people complained of the cold, although it was 40 degrees. I wonder if the mild winters have spoiled us. If the rest of this one is like it was on the first day, I’ll be very happy. My thanks to the woman who bought two books in Russian and to the one who purchased this, which is about a foot high:
