When will the nonsense stop? Headline from nypost.com: “‘I just lost it’: Lowe’s worker fired after 13 years of employment got black eye trying to stop thieves stealing $2K of merchandise.” Will there be a breaking point?

Attention horror and sci-fi writers, possible fodder from NYP: “Beethoven’s skull fragments found in safety deposit box, donated by US businessman.” Coming to a theater near you: Ludwig: Bits n Pieces.

Hardball, from NYP: “Universal fined for trimming trees striking writers and actors used for shade.” I admit it, I chuckled, but the following is funnier, from foxnews.com: “Hunter Biden’s lawyer spotted using bong during visit from president’s son.” He is an endless source of entertainment.

This FN headline caught my attention: “New military drama that shines light on ‘strong’ US forces trashed as ‘propaganda’.” The show is Special Ops: Lioness, which focuses on women in the military. It was created by the same man, Taylor Sheridan, responsible for the wildly popular Yellowstone, which, since it’s a cable show, I haven’t scene. Still, I was interested in his career. He began as an actor, appearing on Walker, Texas Ranger in 1995, and has added 22 other titles to his credits and has another in post-production. That’s impressive enough, but he’s on an astonishing writing jag. His first seven scripts were for the big screen, including the excellent Hell or High Water (2016), which earned four Oscar nominations. He has switched to TV, creating six shows, 96 episodes total. He also has 15 credits as a producer. Born in North Carolina, he is in his mid 50’s, a father of one. Kudos. Photo from Google Images:

Not much action at the floating book shop on this beautiful day. My thanks to Herbie, who bought Secrets by Jude Devereaux, and to my Constant Benefactress, who purchased Black and Blue by Anna Quindlen; and to the woman who allowed me to cherry pick seven academic tomes from her basket of goodies, the rest of which she left outside the library.
