How lucky was this Aussie? Photo from Google Images:

Headline from nypost.com: “Trump says he may send nearly 90,000 newly hired IRS agents to border — or fire them — after issuing indefinite hiring freeze.” Love it!

“Stupid is as stupid does,” as Mrs. Gump said (Screenplay by Eric Roth Based on a novel by Winston Groom). From NYP: “North Korea sees massive losses while fighting Ukrainian troops.”

Fodder for sci-fi writers. From NYP: “Intense jet stream has planes moving faster than the speed of sound on flights bound for Europe.”

Stupid Idea. From NYP: “Movement grows to put Trump’s face on Mount Rushmore alongside Lincoln, Washington: ‘What are we waiting for?’.” Leave that monument be, especially since no one knows whether DT will slay the swamp. I do believe things will be better, although I have no idea by how much, since they are so far gone.

How the heck hadn’t I noticed this name until now? Headline from Yahoo Sports: “Jannik Sinner wins Australian Open, claiming third Grand Slam title.” And he’s a goombah! Auguri, maestro.

Headline from foxnews.com: “Beatles legend Ringo Starr changes tune from rock to ‘beautiful’ country music.” 84, he recently hosted two shows at the legendary Ryman Auditorium that raised money for the Red Cross and those impacted by the L.A. fires. I can picture him wearing a Stetson. Look Up is Starr’s first full-length album in six years. Nine of the eleven songs were written or co-written by legendary producer T Bone Burnett, 77. Not much sunshine today, but not much wind either, so the Anti-Inflation Book Shop was fairly easy work. My thanks to the kind folks who donated and bought stuff. Here’s what sold: The Naked Drinking Club by Rhona Cameron, The French Lieutenant’s Woman by John Fowles; Faith of the Fallen by Terry Goodkind; The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu and Douglas Carlton Abrams; a Minolta camera from back in the day when film was king, a steal at a buck if it works.
