A third indictment for the left’s boogieman. I wonder if DT’s poll numbers will again rise.

Record heat everywhere. Don’t worry, politicians will fix it. In NYC it’s not the heat — it’s the humidity.

It looks like Illinois is going to completely do away with cash bail. Maybe its lawmakers want to make the rest of the state as placid as Chicago.

Promising news on the medical front, headline and caption from nypost.com: “Brain clouds clearing: Groundbreaking Alzheimer’s drug may open up a ‘new era’ for treating disease.” “Donanemab has been linked to a 40% lower risk of progressing from mild cognitive impairment to mild dementia.” Newsmax.com put it this way: “Lilly Drug Slows Alzheimer’s Progression by 60 Percent.”

Guess this woman’s profession. Photo from nypost.com. Answer below.

Headline from foxnews.com: “Jason Aldean drops new anti-crime, pro-gun song — and liberals are up in arms.” Thank you, sir.

How ‘bout this guy, FN headline: “Australian sailor, dog survived 3 months adrift in Pacific Ocean by eating raw fish, drinking rainwater.” Kudos. Photo from Google Images:

The woman is a trucker. She claims to earn $120,000 in six months work. The rest of the year she, apparently, is taking selfies.

My thanks to my Constant Benefactress, who donated three books, and to Cabbie, who did a swap and buy of thrillers, taking The Shape Shifter by Tony Hillerman and The Rule of the Nine by Steve Martini; and to Wolf, who bought Bloodline by James Rollins, West Side Story (1961) on CD, and The Fifth Element (1997) and Addams Family Values (1993) on DVD; and to The Frenchman, who purchased the thick Kidder-Parker Architects’ and Builders’ Handbook: Data for Architects, Structural Enigneers, Contractors, and Draughtsmen by Frank E. Kidder and Harry Parker. My brother-in-law was a draftsman. I found the book on a shelf in the old house. There were 18 editions from the 1930’s-’50’s. A copy lists at Amazon for $149.99. I charged the gentleman a dollar. As he paid I happened to glance to the right and saw a huge dark cloud. I immediately began packing up and got all but the Russian books into the car in time. A moment after I was done the deluge began in earnest. I sat in the old Hyundai until the precip was largely spent, about 15 minutes. The exterior is very clean.
