Before and after, hope for the afflicted. Headline from nypost.com: “‘Life-changing’: Remarkable video shows dad with Parkinson’s before and after taking breakthrough drug.”
Sticky situation, but nobody got hurt. From NYP: “Philly couple ‘getting busy’ in Range Rover accidentally roll into river after they hit gear stick while in backseat.”
Here is 61-year-old Taiwanese immigrant Jensen Huang’s Linked-In profile: “Dishwasher, Busboy, Waiter | Denny’s | 1978–1983. Founder and CEO | Nvidia | 1993-Present.” It has a market cap of $3 trillion and is responsible for 80% and 95% of the world market in AI chip design and software. He is the embodiment of the American Dream. Mega kudos, Sir.
This may be the most amusing headline of the day, from NYP: “Google to let users create AI images of people after botched ‘woke’ rollout that included black Nazis.” Now that’s inclusive.
Excerpt from an NYP editorial about the Kennedy family’s condemnation of RFK Jr.: “… party loyalty has overtaken family loyalty. It’s as if they’re saying they can overlook rape and driving under the influence causing someone’s death, but an endorsement of Donald Trump is just beyond the pale.” Kudos.
Except for ridiculously high prices, news on the economic front seems all good: record high for the Dow, 3% GDP growth, which hopefully won’t be revised way down like the job reports, and this headline from foxnews.com: “There are more 401(k) millionaires in the US than ever before.” I would argue that the people achieved it despite government not because of it — but that’s just me.
From FN out of the left coast Washington: “Blue state launches new program offering home loans based on race.” Isn’t that bigotry?
One-day heat wave — the best kind — followed by ideal weather for selling stuff curbside. My thanks to The Quiet Man, who bought DVDs of all four seasons of The OC, and to Angelo, who took home Edit Yourself: A Manual for Everyone Who Works With Words by Bruce Ross-Larson; and to the woman who selected Sooner or Later by Debbie Macomber; and to Jolene, who purchased A Hitch in Twilight by yours truly.
