Headline from nypost.com: “Ivy League schools silent as Trump packs his Cabinet with their grads.” Black sheep?

I’ve always had a problem with the death penalty, although there are creeps who earn it, so I’m not upset by Quid Pro Joe’s commutations. I just hope the slimes are never set free.

Headline from foxnews.com: “Denzel Washington becomes a minister as Hollywood actor admits you ‘can’t talk’ about religion in industry.” Seems a great fit. Blessings, Sir.

The Biggest Christmas Gifts of Each Decade by Eliza Roth at msm.com, edited by yours truly:
1920s: The Yo-yo
1930s: Monopoly. I never liked the game.
1940s: The Slinky. How simple things were back then.
1950s: Barbie
1960s: G.I. Joe and Easy-Bake Oven
1970s: Star Wars Everything! I have never owned any of the film’s merch.
1980s: Rubik’s Cube and Cabbage Patch Kids. A co-worker made extra cash raffling off several of the latter on the commodity trading floor. Whatever became of Mikey Spagnuolo, nicknamed Spags?
1990s: Game Boy and Furbys. Had to look up the latter.
2000s: Nintendo Wii
2010s: iPad

It was 15 degrees at show time, so I passed on the Anti-Inflation Book Shop for the third straight day. I took a hike to the Coney DMV with a companion — acid reflux. It’s time for license renewal and I wanted to make sure I did everything right, so I decided to do it in person. Turns out an appointment is now required — SMH. Leave it to government to make things harder. I’ll do it by mail after all.
