Headline from newsmax.com: “Trump Warns Illegal Voters They’ll Face Jail Time.” A lot of new prisons would have to be built.
Among today’s many celebrations, it’s World Gratitude Day. I have many reasons to be thankful, foremost is that I’m 74 and still capable of a lot.
Headline from foxnews.com concerning Caterpillar: “Another iconic American company rolls back DEI policies as criticism intensifies.” Yay!
RIP Kathryn Grant Crosby, 90. Born in Houston, she was on stage from age 3. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas. She did well, appearing in The Phenix City Story (1955), Mister Cory (1957), Operation Mad Ball (1957), The Brothers Rico (1957), Anatomy of a Murder (1959) and The Big Circus (1959), as well as others films and the iconic special effects-laden The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958), which mesmerized me when I caught it a couple of years later at a Saturday matinee at the Benson Theater in Bensonhurst. Grant worked sporadically after her marriage to Bing Crosby, bearing him three children. There are 38 titles under her name at IMDb, career spanning 1953–2010 when she appeared in Queen of the Lot after a screen absence of 31 years. Following her husband’s death she occasionally appeared on stage in productions such as Same Time, Next Year, Charley’s Aunt and a Broadway revival of the musical State Fair. Her second marriage lasted ten years until her spouse’s death. She wrote two memoirs. Thank you, Madam. Photo from Google Images:
Checkered results for the Anti-Inflation Book Shop on this beautiful breezy day. My thanks to the young man who bought four CDs and Sherlock Holmes (2009) on Blue Ray, and to the woman who purchased 3D art and two grammar workbooks — and didn’t return for them! My thanks also to whoever downloaded By the Numbers by Yours Truly at Amazon.
