Tuesday Afternoon
“I’m looking at myself reflections of my mind
It’s just the kind of day to leave myself behind.”
Tuesday Afternoon — Justin Heyward (Moody Blues)
Excerpt from a nypost.com article by Betheny Mandel: “While we’ve seen President Donald Trump and countless numbers of his supporters booted off Twitter’s service, purveyors of Jew hate like Iran’s Supreme Leader Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyyeh, and Louis Farrakhan are still regularly posting. Adeel Raja posting in praise of Hitler throughout his time on Twitter finally lost him a gig as a freelance CNN contributor but didn’t even warrant a suspension, let alone ban, from the social media service.” 17,000 have tweeted “Hitler was right.”

Since I’m so far out of the education loop, I didn’t know Catholic schools in the metropolitan area have been open since September 2020. Kudos.
Foxnews.com headline: “Shots fired near George Floyd Square, as nation marks one year since Floyd death.”
Geez, Bob Dylan is 80. Here’s a quote from one of his songs:
“May your heart always be joyful
May your song always be sung
And may you stay
Forever young.”
For most of today’s session of the floating book shop it looked like Michael’s buy of the romance novel The King’s Pleasure by Shannon Drake would be the only sale. Two hours later Alice, fresh from rehab of a broken foot, showed and bought Obsession by Nora Roberts, and moments later a young woman purchased two large tomes on pre-schoolers. My thanks to those kind folks, and to Robert, who donated three more books, and to Lynn, who delivered about ten, seven by Stephen King; and to the gentleman who brought a bunch of Russian DVDs. The present selection is as good as it gets.
