Medical advances continue. Headline from nypost.com: “Fecal transplants cured football coach’s stage 3 bowel cancer when chemo couldn’t.” Injections and pills made of poop — unbelievable!
Headline from foxnews.com regarding Canada and TDS: “Business offering portraits of Trump, Vance so customers can smash them to pieces.”
RIP singer/songwriter Jesse Colin Young, 83. Born in Queens as Perry Miller, he was a founding member and lead singer of the 1960s group the Youngbloods, whose Get Together was a seminal song of the peace and love era. It still sounds good decades later. Written by Chester Powers performing under the name Dino Valenti, it was a regional hit in California and gained national recognition in ‘69 after being used in a TV public service ad for brotherhood. It sold more than a million copies. Young went solo in ‘70. Although he had a long career, he never again found wide commercial success. In all he was part of 18 studio albums, seven compilations and seven live disks. Married twice, he was a father of four. His iconic vocal will live long after him. Well done, Sir. I find this disappointing. From 38 Pieces of Pop Culture Trivia to Blast From the Speakers At Your House Party by Cracked Writers, msm.com:
It was a beautiful day despite a cold breeze, fine for the Anti-Inflation Book Shop. My thanks to the young man who bought The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, and two Blu-rays; and to the woman who purchased a colorful piece of costume jewelry in the form of a fish.
