Topsy-turvy world, headline from nypost.com: “Menace to mensch: Neo-Nazi who inspired Edward Norton’s ‘American History X’ skinhead is now an observant Jew thanks to DNA discovery.” This is Frank Meeink today and then, photo from Google Images:
How much is enough? From NYP: “NY pols push to pad teacher, cop, gov’t worker pensions — and sock taxpayers with whopping $4B bill.” Vote-buying slimes.
I’m not sure how many people take the mainstream media seriously these days. The outrage over NBC’s hiring of former RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is beyond absurd. Unfortunately, the snowflakes will probably prevail and then they can turn their anger fully to the matter of Trump having had his bond slashed from $474 billion to $175 billion. The handwringing and bellyaching will be music to many ears.
RIP TV mainstay Ron Harper, 91, whose career spanned 1955–2015. Born outside Pittsburgh, he was valedictorian of his high school class and earned a scholarship to Princeton, where he appeared in plays and musicals. He studied under Lee Strasberg and did a stint in the Navy. There are 53 titles under his name at IMDb, a figure that doesn’t begin to tell his story. He was in 30 episodes alone of 87th Precinct, 34 of Wendy and Me, 26 of Garrison’s Gorillas, 14 of Planet of the Apes, 13 of Land of the Lost, 22 of Another World and 62 of Generations. He also did a ton of guest shots on popular primetime shows. His most notable big screen appearance came in Pearl Harbor (2001). Married once, divorced, he was a father of one. Well done, Sir. A pleasant though overcast day, fine for doing business curbside. My thanks to Wolf, who bought ten more DVDs, and to the woman who purchased a Weight Watchers cookbook; and to the one who took home Clash of the Creepers by Winter Morgan.
