Hopefully this is a good omen. Seattle, photo by Lindsey Wasson/AP, posted at theguardian.com:

This foxnews.com headline seems to say a lot about the state of things today, not only in the USA but worldwide: “‘Wheel of Fortune’ host Pat Sajak gets in screaming match with contestant, yells ‘shut up’.” Geez. I had some fun putting the following together at thewordfinder.com:

According to Sean Hannity, 4000 people in Vermont have changed party affiliation in order to vote for Nikki Haley in an effort to stop DT’s momentum, hoping it will precipitate a “Trump is in decline” barrage from the mainstream media. Former Obama officials are encouraging it in other states. It is astonishing how one man is so feared. Life never ceases to be fascinating.

RIP actress Lynne Marta, 75, who succumbed to cancer. Born in Jersey, her career spanned 1966–2004. There are 68 titles under her name at IMDb, mostly in TV. She made numerous guest shots in primetime, including at least three episodes of five shows, 18 of Love, American Style and 24 of Days of Our Lives. On the big screen she had roles in Red Sky at Morning (1971), Joe Kidd (1972), Footloose (1984) and Three Men and a Little Lady (1990).
She composed a song, Nobody Loves You Quite Like You Do, which she sang on Starsky and Hutch. She also sang in two episodes of Charlie’s Angels and three other productions. Well done, Madam. Photo from Google Images:

Plenty of sunshine but too cold and a bit too much wind for a curbside book shop today. And it doesn’t look too promising for the next two days, either. Fortunately I’ve come up with a story idea that will fill time and prevent wall-climbing. It has to do with my personal history, past and present. I didn’t think I had anything fresh left, but a lot just came to mind. I hope it will be interesting to others. Then again, once I add it to my future book file, it will still be woefully short of book length, so it may never see the light of day. A lot of it will be from stuff I copied and pasted from Facebook Messenger. I found a title immediately — Psych 101. Each of the new stories has a number in the title. If the file ever gets to book length, the title will be something like By the Numbers.
