What’s in Your Wine Closet?

This is not commentary on lifestyle. I don’t care what anyone does with earned money. I just think this headline from nypost.com is funny: “Carmen Electra keeps 100 pairs of stilettos in wine closet of LA home.”

Best news of the day, headline from newsmax.com: “Colonial Pipeline Restarts Operations After Major Hack.” Unfortunately, reports indicate that a ransom of four to five million was paid. Won’t that simply encourage the criminals?

Among the worst news of the day, NM headline: “US Consumer Prices Increase by Most Since 2009.”

From an article at Yahoo Sports by Chris Cwik, edited by yours truly: “Mixed Martial Arts champion Conor McGregor earned $180 million the last 12 months, making him the highest paid athlete in the world, according to Forbes.” Most of it came from the sale of his whiskey business and endorsements.

Headline from foxnews.com: “More than 150 anti-Trump Republican leaders threaten to leave the party if it does not return to ‘founding American principles.’” I don’t see a downside.

The Windy City is under assault by more than the violence of certain citizens. Headline from FN: “1,000 feral cats released onto Chicago streets to combat rat problem.”

Loved this cartoon from FN:

My thanks to the kind folks who bought and donated books on this gorgeous day, especially Marina and my constant benefactress, who insisted on making payment despite all they’ve given me. Revelo returned for a second copy of Exchanges he intends to give a friend, and also purchased what I consider my best work, Killing. And he took home How to Make Love to a Man by Alexandra Penney, The Great Pretender: The Undercover Mission That Changed Our Understanding of Madness by Susannah Cahalan, and three other works of non-fiction. He said a lot of nice things about my novels, including that he was up until three AM reading. Thank you, sir.
