Interesting newsmax.com headline out of one of the most liberal cities on the planet: “San Francisco Fed Blames Inflation on Biden Admin. Spending.” How did this truth get past native daughter Pelosi?

This sounds like a bad move. Headline from NM: “Trump to Putin: Release Info on Hunter Biden’s Oligarch Deals.” Given Vlad’s standing, who would believe anything coming from him? Then again, Trump has been proven right time and again on most issues.

RIP Brooklyn-born actor Paul Herman, 76, best known for his five episode run on The Sopranos. He did a lot more, appearing in four films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: Goodfellas (1990), Silver Linings Playbook (2012), American Hustle (2013) and The Irishman (2019). He had parts in six films directed by Martin Scorsese and five by Woody Allen. He is also in Once Upon a Time in America (1984), Crazy Heart (2009) and six episodes of Entourage. There are 64 titles under his name at IMDb. Well done, sir. Thank you.

No wind today, so selling stuff curbside wasn’t too hard despite the mostly cloudy sky that blocked the warmth of the sun. My thanks to local porter Robert, who donated 15 paperbacks, several of them big sellers, and to all the kind folks who bought. Here’s what sold: a paperback in Russian, The Collected Short Stories of Isaac Babel; Mr. Murder by Dean Koontz; Buddhism for Dummies; The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien; Guilt by Jonathan Kellerman; The Rose Kennedy Family Album; a Hitler bio; and two Asian animation DVDs. I had a long visit from Steve, a salesman recovering from bypass. He related his Army experiences circa 1970. A bout with pneumonia kept him out of Vietnam but did not lead to a discharge. He served as an aide to a warrant officer. While stationed in Germany he bought a Mercedes and had it shipped home. All the fluids were drained, the wheels taken off, and the body encased in foam. And it was free, courtesy of Uncle Sam!… Occupy Jack showed with a beautiful little dog that cost his son $190. Why didn’t I take a picture? Duh… Romania born artist Andu is on crutches, having broken his femur slipping on ice a couple of months ago. That didn’t stop him from buying… A burly guy who served a 20-year stretch for homicide left his purchases with me while he went into CVS for a gift card he used to place a bet on his iphone he didn’t want his wife to know about… And the other burly guy who did three prison stretches that totaled 18 years gushed about a British Netflix show he’s binging on. Not wanting to get in trouble again, he stays in his apartment as much as possible. He said he loved me. Why does that make me uncomfortable, even though I know he isn’t gay?
