In 1960 JFK took a break from campaigning in what has been my neck of the woods since 1988 — Sheepshead Bay, and did some painting. His work will soon be auctioned. Here’s an example:

More shocking than the Ravens loss to the Titans is the margin of victory. I watched the highlights at youtube. Baltimore may have fared better had its receivers come up with tough catches in the first half. Tennessee RB Derek Henry has ascended to the ranks of superstar. QB Ryan Tannehill was as solid as could be. Are the Titans imitating the Giants’ last two runs to the promised land? How would I know? Both my picks for the Super Bowl are out… The 49ers showed impressive balance in their win: passing, running and defense.
It was another quiet session at the floating book shop. My thanks to the Asian gentleman who asked for an easy read to help improve his English, and who bought Carl Hiaasen’s Basket Case at my recommendation; and to the young man who purchased Stephen King’s It.
