This member of Guardian Angels sustained a broken eye socket, broken nose, and received 48 stitches while defending a Foot Locker from looters. He was part of a group of six headed by founder Curtis Sliwa. They managed to hold out against overwhelming odds until police arrived. Kudos.
Is this foxnews.com headline an indicator of the November election? — “MSNBC host Rachel Maddow’s ratings slide continues despite unprecedented news cycle.”

RIP Johnny Majors, 85, head coach of 1976 Pittsburgh Panthers National Championship team. He compiled a record of 185–137–10, which included stints at Iowa St. and Tennessee. He also was the Southeastern Conference’s Most Valuable Player as both a junior and senior.
